For nearly a year, I held onto the engagement ring, waiting for the perfect moment to ask her those two life-changing words. Despite countless planned proposals, nerves always got the best of me. But as distance stretched between us, I realized waiting for the perfect moment was futile. So, with the weight of anticipation and love in my heart, I finally asked her to be mine forever, unexpectedly yet undoubtedly.
